Experiment in Progress

Got up, showered and dressed for work, too late to make it to the gym, rushing around the kitchen trying to find something to eat and thinking about what to pack for lunch. Rush, rush, rush....
And then I saw this.....

And in an instant I was taken back 10 years or so .... to our homeschooling days.

Believe it or not these were the most wonderful days of togetherness; just being together and learning together 24/7.  Learning was fun.
So at age 29 I guess learning is still fun and I feel so thankful.
I can't wait to find out what the experiment is but he had left for work before I got home from work. Darn this work stuff.... oh to go back to hanging out around the house all day learning and reading and being together and getting in each others way... :)

365???

Considering starting up the 365 again Jan 1, 2011

Do I have time????
Can I keep the daily committment?
Is there anything in this house left to photograph on those late evenings when I am scrambling for a shot of the day??

Does anyone really care?
Hits on this blog have dropped off to about 10 a day. Could it be because I have not posted regularily since I finished last Sept.
Wondering if these are regulars hoping for a shot of the day.
Or just hit and miss googlers passing by looking for something totally unrelated to my post.

Leave me a comment if picking up the 365 again interests you.
If I have five faithful lookers, I will give it a go....  :)

Light - which is how we plan to eat from here on in.

Baby EVA

Photo of the Day!
Do you think she will have some Cortens genes in there somewhere and have a sweet soprano voice like her mother?

Hawaiian Sunset

Nothing quite so romantic as an Hawaiian sunset....
....especially while sitting on your Lanai sipping a nicely chilled Pinot Gricio.

Monday Photo(s) of the Day

Took lots of photos of crashing waves today.
But I am posting my shot of the moon from early this morning - it was just beautiful.
Did you see it?

Both taken around 5am off the lanai.

Sundays Photo of the Day

I am posting this at 6am Sunday morning - just took the shot. So I reserve the right to change this if I get another, better shot today. We are heading to church this am and then to Buzz's bar and grill at Kaluai Beach - THE most beautiful beach in the world they say - for the day. Lots of windsurfers there so there very well could be a "better" shot of the day but I am pretty taken with this one. I may put it on canvass.

Sooooo at 5am (an hour ago) this morning I took this shot.
Now I think this is an amazing shot for a few reasons.
The moon is full, there are very few clouds - just enough to give it a romantic glow.
The lighting from the moon was devine! This is a 15 second shutter speed! "Stay VERY still dear"
The ocean waves were perfect and oh so warm.
And MOST amazing?
My sweetheart was willing for me to drag him out of bed at 5am, cart my tripod to the beach, stand where I told him to (and very still), kiss me on command and drag the tripod back up to the condo.
He is now back in bed...... I am on the computer. :)

I love this guy!! He is Amazing!

Saturday's Photo of the Day

sigh......

Fridays Photo of the Day

THIS shot is why I purchased a remote trigger the week before holidays and why I lugged my tripod to Hawaii!!
I will try for another one tonight - hoping there are fewer clouds at sunset. Plus we were late - the sun falls pretty fast on the equator.
Sherpa is game for trying again tonight. :)

Montana's

On the last evening that Mark was home  I asked him what he would like for supper. I was thinking, spaghetti, S&S meatballs... something warm and hearty and easy to make after my day at work.
Mark, on the other hand was thinking - back in civilization -  Montana's, East Side Mario's, Gibson's Fish n Chips, Boston Pizza....
We went to Montana's - the whole gang! Baby Eva too - although she didn't eat much.
These kids really ave a good thing going here!

And they know it!!

They wouldn't let me keep the pail....

Man I look tired!!! Maybe eating out was a good idea.
I think I need a holiday!! Somewhere like the picture on the Corona pail.

She was an angel, as usual.

Friendship

Had a wonderful evening with friends Sat night.
And you know a pork roast is always a good thing!

That's my good friend Marsha from Langley on the rt.  I haven't seen Marsha since 2002. We had lots of fun catching up. We agreed that neither of us has aged a day!! ;)
