295/365 Canada - Strong & Free

"We may have lost some of our innocence today, but we haven't lost what makes this country great. We still hold and promote the values that make us strong. Terrorism has gained nothing; we are still the same nation we were. This is Canada."  Mark Cortens

286/365 Tea Cup

My 96 year old Aunt Jean gave us a set of four of these bone china tea cups as a wedding gift. Little did I imagine as I opened the gift on our wedding day, that 35 years later, almost to the day, our grand daughter would be enjoying a cup of tea in the only surviving cup.

Eva was quite thrilled that Grandma let her have "real" tea in a "real" cup.

It was caffeine free rooibos tea. :) I sent her home with a tea bag which pleased her to pieces.

As they drove off yesterday, she put her window down and yelled "Thanks for the tea Grandma!!"

Made this old grandma heart feel wonderful.

283/365 The Chef

I photographed Dominic today. He is six days old and already into the baking scene.
His mother is an accomplished baker. Her butter tarts are melt in your mouth tasty and must at Christmas. This little guy will have lots of finger lickin' good fun in the kitchen.
