209 of 365 Hosta

Tonight I had an urge to break out the macro and head into the garden.
My Hosta is blooming and beautiful and with no effort on my part - trust me - no effort at all.
The weeds, ants and spider webs abound out there. Perhaps this weekend we can tame the jungle.

But until then I will take beautiful photos and make you think I have a glorious garden.

I love it!! You cannot cook Mexican food without it.
In the garden, needs picking but haven't time.

207 of 365 Eva

I was up to take my husband to the airport at 4:30 am this morning, a day of work with SHR and then three hrs this evening with this going concern. She doesn't stop...ever.
But she is happy as can be. And I love her to pieces.

205 of 365 Happy Birthday Mark

So blessed to have Mark home to celebrate his birthday. Missing Harold in this photo - he is at work. Missing Paul's family - because they do not allow internet photos. But most of the gang is here to celebrate.

204 Midtown Mall

Had to run downtown to the mall this am.
Snapped this with my P&S. It was one shot photo as we crossed the busy street. The two guys on the left are really belting out the tunes. The guy  on the scooter seemed oblivious.
Then there is that very large lady in the window left. :0

203 of 365 Family Photo Session today.

This little one was full of spunk! She stood still for one click then was off and running. But when she was still she was perfectly happy in front of the camera... unlike her little sweet 2 yr old sister. :)

202 of 365 Eva is 10 months Old

And at 10 months she not only does not like her feet touching sand, but she also does not like them touching grass.

198 of 365 Visiting Uncle Mark

We stopped by the fire-hall to see uncle Mark this morning but no sooner had we arrived then the alarms went off and we had to get out of the way of the truck. We did some grocery shopping and then returned to his hall to get a full tour. I will post more photos of that soon on the regular blog.

Here is Uncle Mark showing his little nieces his fire truck.

197 of 365 Family

It is very rare that I get all my children together at one time. It has been almost 2 years since I have had them all together- so here they are minus one, unfortunately. We are heading to a fun week at the beach. Hopefully one day I will get them ALL together.

I love how the grand-babies are so taken with each other. When they saw each other they immediately hugged and laughed. No shyness at all.

196 of 365 Road Trip

And this time Eva is in the drivers seat.....sort of. She does dictate a few of the stops anyways but otherwise she is a great traveler. Here she is at a pit stop in Moosemin Saskatchewan.

195 of 365 Blue Bells

I think that is what they are called.

You know I have had another long day (week) at the office and I am pooped when I resort to a photo of a flower for my 365.  But they are kinda pretty.

Trying to keep my eyes open here....

194 of 365 Driver

He claims it will take five strokes off his game.
My response was ...So? What else will it do?

193 of 365 Heliopsis

I used to have a whole bunch of them in the garden but an early fall freeze two winters ago has set them back five years.

Bible Study tonight. I noticed my husbands guitar being lit by the setting sun.

190 of 365 Tiger Lily

They came late and fast this year in the midst of a humid heat wave so they didn't last very long. Almost missed them.

189 of 365 The Class of 58

The Saint Pauls Hospital Nursing Class of 1958
...and they still know how to have a lot of fun!!

Our neighbor hosted a dinner party for the class of 58 and their spouses - there were 24 guests and David and I helped with serving. My sweetheart looked so fine in his crisp white shirt and bow tie!
This is the only shot I got of him.....what was I thinking?

That is Ivan pulling our leg.....again!

188 of 365 For the girls

Still on that theme of toys this week and since there was a bridal shower at my house and since the theme was honeymoon/romance....well I am sorry but this one just fit the bill!

186 of 365 Kinder Surprises

You know. Those delicious chocolate eggs with a toy in the center? The ones banned in the USA because of the small toy? Boy am I glad we can have them here in Canada
Gotta love them and we have for the past 30 years in this home.

This was one of the "surprises" from last Christmas and it is still on the buffet reminding me that we are all kids at heart especially at Christmas. And that Kinder eggs are a wonderful tradition in this house.

184 of 365 Prairie Skies and Canola

Home again.
We have seen plenty of farmers fields the past 5 days and the canola in the SE part of the province is pretty sickly since it has been drowning in rain. But as we approached Saskatoon I got this shot.
Another one of those photos taken at 115km/hr... or there abouts.

183 of 365

David, Mark and I spent an enjoyable afternoon with friends...

But the morning started with a visit to the infamous Original Pancake House. We all agreed these were THE best pancakes. If you are ever in Wpg, plan breakfast at the Pancake House on Pembina Hwy. You won't be disappointed.

182 of 365 Canada Day

Happy Birthday Canada.

This is the stage at The Forks in Winnipeg where we listened to the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra perform just before the fireworks. There were probably 15000 people or more. So glad we parked well away and walked because that many people put wpg traffic at a standstill for a bit.

I am half way through the year of 365.
