60/365 Beautiful Miss Norah.

A quick photo after her bath, eating her Raisin Bran at the kitchen table.

56/365 Painters

We were painting up a storm today.
I love watching their creativity unfold.
And they love it too.

55/365 Play-doh Presents

Tiny little Kinder egg toys wrapped up in play doh.
It's part of the fun at grandma's kitchen table.
Next we all sing Happy Birthday to...... one of the Barbies.

48/365 Warmed By the Fire

I am very much enjoying being able to walk into the house at the end of the work day and turn on this fire. It was a good investment.

47/365 I Will Build My Church

Listened to a great John MacArthur sermon with the gang tonight
(How to Recognize a Real Church.) Matthew 16:18
And the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
That is a sure hope in this crumbling world.

46/365 My Sunshine!

Missing this little one and her warm, sunny home.
We did get to have a little "face time" with her and her sister today.

44/365 Painting, Seriously!

It's serious business this painting.
Actually is isn't at all. It is a whole lot of fun and mess!
But I asked Eva to give me a serious look. This is actually quite difficult for little people. They are not quite sure how to look serious and they have even more trouble looking "angry".
Isn't that wonderful?
All our "angry" looks turned into laughs and giggles!

43/365 Kinder Surprise

I bought some Barbie Kinder Egg surprises for the girls for Valentines and safely stowed them at the back of the kitchen counter.
It took Eva about 30 seconds after arriving today to spot them. I didn't realize Eva is taller then the kitchen counter. Silly Grandma!

They became dessert tonight.

42/365 Norahs Lament

Norah was just a beltin' out a song at the piano today. Hard to make is out - something about dying and going to heaven. A lament of sorts I suppose.
She is normally a rather shy little girl. Really she is!

40/365 Nefertiti

Ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertit (ca. 1370 – ca. 1330 BC) reigned at what was considered the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history. Nefertiti had many titles including Hereditary Princes, Lady of Grace and Lady of all Women.

She has been on our piano for over 60 years. My grandpa put her there when he bought the piano which is older then me. My Mom kept her there for many years and I have had her there since the piano arrived in our home 16 years ago. Now she will go with the piano to my daughters home. And may all the lovely young ladies who play this piano be ladies of great grace.

39/365 Grandma House

making memories...
I am not sure I want to give the piano to their Mom when the new house is built since playing it at Grandma's house is such a big part of their visits.

37/365 Olaf

Uncle Harold had all the parts to make the perfect Olaf snowman so he and Norah got to work and made Olaf in our back yard. Then we had a snowball fight.

36/365 I Love This Man

Here he is after an 11 hr work day filled with deadlines, financial stuff,  people stresses and major decisions, watching some war drama on tv (on mute) while he listens to some political debate on his laptop. I know he must be exhausted but he never lets on. He did the dishes tonight.
I love that because he worked such long days for the past 36 years, I was able to stay home and watch our kids grow. He trusted and supported me to be there for them when he couldn't. As exhausting as it was, I know it was not filled with the stresses he faced at work. What a blessing for me and for our kids.
I love that even though he knows nothing about photography, he has supported me in my passion.
I love that even though he is really tired right now, he let me take his photo and post it on my 365.
Cause he loves me. :)
He's my Valentine.
