242/365 Grandma Grand-daughter date

We spent the whole day together! It started with breakfast at Cora's followed by a round of miniature golf where Norah won by two stokes and Grandma came in last. Then home for lunch and a craft. We painted our binoculars and tomorrow we will put them together. We also put together a few puzzles and then a long bike ride.
They should sleep well tonight. :)

If only every child born into this world could experience such joy, love and security.

228/365 Repelling Renee!

Barbies on the from steps just works with the rock wall. Norah's Barbie is named Renee and she is a secret spy whose expertise is repelling rock walls. So, it kind of worked to play Barbies on the front steps. I love watching all this non stop imagination.

225/365 At the Park

This was not taken today. I was carrying and using my camera all weekend so I am giving my arm a rest today. This is from a lovely summer day at the park last week.

222/365 Sleepover

These two sleeping beauties had a pretty fun time sleeping over and Grandpa got home from his business trip in time to make pancakes before rushing out the door at 7:30 am. This is the life.
A tad spoiled?

221/365 Chocolate Mint

Ice Cream on the deck at sunset at Grandma and Grandpa's house on a hot summer evening is the best. It was chocolate mint, a new favorite introduced to us by our cousins. :)

220/365 Home

Two years ago it was an empty lot and we were filled with dreams and ideas.
Today we are thankful beyond measure.

217/365 Beans!

A couple of months back when the girls were staying with us for a few days, I cleaned out Norah's knapsack one evening to find a partially sprouted bean in a baggie with some water. The next morning we hastily stuck it in the mud along with my herbs before running out the door to school.
And now we have a few beans!  :)

My daughter Alison made a very delicious(and pretty) cherry pie from scratch.

214/365 Fence

Finally! The city has put up the fence on the park side. The park is well underway as well. Hopefully by next summer there will be grass in the park and the swale walkway and the dust levels will be down. I guess this is all part of living in a construction zone. I am enjoying the garden but it is certainly a work in progress.
