Doesn't she just look so darn cute in her new Osh Kosh's? Her Mommy grew up wearing these too!

361 of 365 Some Assembly Required

No internet for 2 days. I survived.
Setting up a condo - 6  hours of connecting the washer, dryer, fridge and stove along with two queen bed frames and mattresses, a couch without feet and a chair without feet, not to mention the solid maple pedestal dining table that came in 5 pieces - and 4 loads to the dumpster with all the carboard and wrappings. We were a tad tired. But the fridge did it's thing and the Tinhorn Creek Pinot Grisio (the only edible item in the condo) was well chilled by 7 pm when my back said no more! It is coming together. Next visit there will be internet.

359 of 365 More Miss Eva

I know, another photo of Eva. Just can't resist because she is here at our house again and having such a fun time. I seem to be spending a lot of time in the kitchen the last week. I didn't think you wanted to see yet another photos of 9 people round our dining room table.

It was hard to get this photo of her. She has discovered running. So here she is wearing her red sweater and leggings Grandma & Grandpa bought her for Christmas. The leggings have little red hearts on them. :)

And Mark has officially made Eva a Winnipeg Jets fan.

358 of 365 Miss Eva

takes a bath.... after running around hitting her head this evening. The poor girl is so anxious to run and she just learned to walk. That kitchen table just kept getting in her way! Here she is having a bath and getting her jammies on before heading home with Mom to go to bed. Tomorrow will be a lot of fun.

357 of 365 Miss Eva

plays the piano with Grandpa...
We get to babysit tonight. Yes sir -  it is Raffi, dancing, puzzles, the kitchen cupboards, hide and seek, the piano, supper, and a bath, among other things.
Good thing there are two of us and only one Miss Eva.

355 of 365 Allison's Birthday

Our baby turned 22 today. I remember the day she was born - one of the coldest on record in Winnipeg. The car wouldn't start at 1 am - an hour after she was born, and her Dad had to call her Grandpa to come down to the hospital and give it a jump.
My how 22 years have flown by.

354 of 365 Sharing His Love

The gang came for dinner tonight. We shared a huge meal, celebrated our friendships in Christ, and generally indulged. Then we played Cranium and Way of Peace. It was a fun evening and I am blessed! God is so good to us.

353 of 365 Christmas is Wonderful

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

Nothing gets you into the mood for Christmas more then to invite family and friends over. Tonight our neighbors dropped by for a few hours. Tomorrow the Bible Study  crowd is joining us for supper - there will be 12 all together. Wednesday we celebrate our daughters 22nd birthday and Thursday is my office Christmas Party. I plan to sleep on Friday!
We are short 3 Christmas stockings this year - Paul, Allie and Tanis will not be joining us.

351 of 365 Our Angel

Our son Paul made this angel in grade 4. His teacher was the best teacher in the whole world - Mrs Meighen. Paul is now almost 26 yrs old and a father of one and another on the way.
Time flies.
I love this angel. He brings back wonderful memories.

350 of 365 Penguin

He comes to visit every Christmas and I can't remember where he came from. Perhaps one of my children can enlighten me?
Only 15 days left in the year... which means only 15 more 365 photos to go.

347 of 365 Nativity

Some nights this 365 is a real chore.... not very often, but on the rare occasion.....

So I am just photographing the Christmas decorations around the house. Would rather play with smoke and lights.... no I would rather go to bed and read my new Scotty Smith book.
Feeling overwhelmed with trying to get ready for Christmas, entertaining, gift buying, completely outfitting a 2 bedroom condo in Yorkton... work! and getting enough sleep.  Trying desperately to get to the gym at 5:45 am and failing miserably.
Send Christmas letters?
hmmm... my life is the antithesis of the scene in this photo.

This too shall pass. I will stop whining now.

346 of 365 Chritmas Fun!

It is Monday night and the Bible study gang arrive any minute. perhaps tonight we will read the Christmas story. It is starting to feel like Christmas around here.

345 of 365 Touch Down!

Ken's pick - because he is into planes - is the B&W. I am partial to the coloured but like the action of the B&W.
Taken as we landed in Vancouver on a Dash 8.
We are home... and I have to go to work tomorrow......and the laundry is almost done.
Sort of.

344 of 365 Evening on the Ocean

We has the most unusual supper last night. We enjoyed sushi on an old boat down at the water. Paul and Allie (and Tanis) treated us. Quite unique! I slipped out just after we ate and caught this long exposure of the boats moored at the next dock.

343 of 365 morning walk

We love our morning walks in Victoria. A stop at the coffee shop and some views of the ocean are always on the agenda.

341 of 365 Raggedy Ann

The Canon spent the day in a jet or the boot of a car... so this is all a hotel room had to offer tonight. Travel days can be brutal especially when they start at 4am. I picked this up for Eva today between stops and can't wait to have her in Eva's stocking Christmas morning. This whole grandparent thing is wonderfully expensive. :) Hand sewn and oh so soft. How could I resist?

340 of 365 Packin' the Gear

Yup, you know what this means.
Nothing exotic. No beaches or palm trees. Just heading out to Victoria for a few days. I haven't seen my Mom since Dad died last April and I feel awful about that.
So a few saved EDO's (earned days off) and some air-miles and I am out a here.
Now to packing the non essentials.....

339 of 365 Head Shot

I got in the door just after 5:30pm - a long day at work that started at 7:30am this morning and traffic going and returning is aggresive and rude. What is it about Saskatchewan drivers!!

He needed a head shot. National Executive search company wanted his headshot - an hour ago.
We were expecting guests for supper. The Bible study gang due here in an hour.

Two speedlights with umbrellas on stands, a black table cloth,  a stool, tripod and remote trigger - we got her. Not bad for about 12 minutes. No glare on the glasses, even skin tones, no shadows.

It has been sent. The dining room is a mess.

The things I do for this wonderful husband of mine. He is more then deserving.

But he could have shaved.... I am still madly in love with him. :)

338 of 365 One HOT Drink!

Today I crossed another item off my photography bucket list and mastered light painting.

Okay perhaps I didn't master it, but I had a blast painting with a flashlight. I think I came close to mastering it though. I also used off camera lighting to make sure the glass was well lit and gels to add that golden glow. The photography arsenal is growing.
I was so happy with the results, that I had a difficult time choosing today's 365. But here is Harold's choice and the rest are on the regular blog HERE

337 of 365 Miss Eva

Eva spent the day with us. And a busy day it was.  Now that we have a car seat in G&G's car we can take her shopping with us. We are pooped!
Here she is watching Raffii on the TV while grandpa strums along on his guitar.

335 of 365 Good Neighbours

last month of the 365... where did the time go?

Well tonight we were invited over for some mighty fine food and wine along with candle light at our neighbors. What a nice way to spend a few hours after work today.

334 of 365 Omelet

It's a pretty lame photo tonight lacking inspiration and composition,  but didn't get in the door until 8:30pm - so it was omelets for supper and one photo. Then off to bed.

333 of 365 Guitar Time

Off to work in the dark. Home in the dark. Supper. Clean up. Then he picks up his guitar and I pick up my camera. It's a symbiotic relationship and we love it. What we do in our time off. :)

...besides sleep...

327 of 365 Strained Lights

I held up the strainer to the kitchen lights and shot through it in hopes of getting a unique pattern.
Sort of.
This is all the energy I am expending tonight.

324 of 365 Delicate Glass Vase

Made of smoke which like water, can be a very beautiful thing.
Yes, I played with smoke today and the shots I got were incredible. It took a committee of David, Ken and myself to pick a fav for the 365.
So I will place the runners up on the regular blog.

Do feel free to let me know what you think of my smoking.

323 of 365 Tiny Bubbles

Tiny bubbles
In the wine
Make me happy
Make me feel fine

But in this case club soda was the liquid of choice today ~ 2 cans of it.... because those tiny bubbles disappear before you get two flashes in just the right spots.

321 of 365 Ms. Eva

Ms Eva visited my office today.
She finished off some dated notes for clients files, booked a few appointments and dealt with a few family's calling with questions. She did quite well and I have invited her back to help at any time.
My co-workers found her very congenial too and, well just kept saying "oh she is so adorable" to which Eva smiled on cue.
I think Eva is destined to great things.
Between our giggles and laughs David and I could not pick a photo of the day so David said post two.
So I am.
She does take her job very seriously. Here she is, just like Grandma, multitasking - writing in patient files, answering the phone and speaking to co-workers at the door,

I do love my grand daughters. :) Their photos are ALL OVER my office!

320 of 365 Water

Water. I use it to boil my potatoes, make my tea, soak egg off my plates and flush my toilet. I drink clean pure water every day to satisfy the 70% of my body that is water.  I don't really think about it. I just use it ~ whenever I want.
The flash and the shutter catch the droplets from a pouring tap in the kitchen. There are crystals; beautiful precious crystals. And I think about beautiful, precious water.
It covers about 70 percent of the Earth yet only 3 percent of the world's water supply is freshwater, and 77 percent of that is frozen.
It's just water but isn't is wonderful?
