Since the kids have grown and (almost) left the nest, my husband has discovered cooking. I love it when he looks up a recipe, does the shopping and then comes home and throws it all together for us.
Tonight: spinach, mushroom and onion omelets.
Ha! I can tell Kurt is home more often these days 'cause he's the one shopping for recipes. He actually told me today that the kitchen is HIS domain. (lol!) I guess I should just be thankful I didn't have to wait until the kids were gone, right, Julie? :)
Ha Kendall, when I had 4 little and not so little ones under foot, Dave was working 60-70 hr weeks. He didn't know what a kitchen was and rarely ate with us. So yeah - be thankful - especially to Kurt! Not that I am complaining - I didn't know anything else and it was all okay- that was life. But I am happy to turn the kitchen over to him now and he has turned into quite the chef. He does dishes too! It is weird that I now work more hours in a week then he does. Now if he could only figure out the laundry.....
lol! Kurt will do laundry - but only when I'm so pregnant I can't heft the basket anymore (has happened quite a bit the last few years... sigh) He was also traumatized when he once shrunk an (expensive) 'no-dry' item and has been kinda paranoid ever since. So I guess they're both limited there... :)
Yummy!! I love it when Steve cooks too!
