It started out like any other work day and then I got a text from Allison. The baby hadn't been moving since yesterday. We both felt something urgent so I dropped everything and picked her and the girls up and we headed to antepartum. Twenty minutes later they were prepping her for emergency c-section. A good friend, bless her, picked the girls up at the hospital as I gowned for the delivery - but they asked me to leave - no time - baby had to come NOW. Dad was 2 hrs away and heading to RUH as fast as he could. Grandpa had just arrived.
Our little 3 pound miracle had a very hard go of it first day and her Mom was also struggling. We leaned heavily on our Lord and He sustained us.
Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
We can't praise the Lord enough for allowing this little one to be born alive all according to His perfect plan.
