It was refreshing. And I used my VitaMix muddler too.

It's Wednesday! And that means Grandma picks up the girls from school and Eva goes to piano lessons while Grandma and Norah play in the piano teachers backyard... and sometimes Eva joins us after her lesson. Grandma hasn't played in a sandbox for some time but it was fun, we were looking for jewels and we found 56 of them!

There are so many of them in the swale and about Saskatoon but I never tire of looking at them. The Canada Goose really is a magnificent bird and watching it in flight is so enjoyable.

Had breakfast out with my love and a 3+ km stroll along the South Saskatchewan River this morning (with a 5 lb camera and 70-20mm lens in tow) Kind of starting to enjoy this birding.

I tried to cut it off for her because I wasn't sure how Isla would be able to hold the corn, but she was having nothing of that!! Give me the corn Grandma!! And she managed to clean that cob off!
Isla also stayed for her first sleepover with Grandma and we did just fine.
Grandma gets a nap this afternoon!!

134/365 Northern Shoveler

Spent and hour or so in the NE Swale today.  I saw  a lot of Blackbirds and Grackles and my Muskrat friend appeared again. I could hear the songbirds but they hid from view or were too far away to get a good shot. I picked the Northern Shoveler for todays 365 shot. I just think that is a perfect name for a duck with a bill like that!

We made stained glass hand prints for Mother's day. It was a hit, very easy and even Isla made one for Mom although Grandma missed getting a photo of that.

Isla loves story time at the library. She dances and sings and just loves doing actions with the scarves. And it gets even better when Grandma shows up with her camera!

This is from yesterday. The girls were over but didn't come dressed for outdoor play so we raided my goodwill bag. It was so cold out and everyone wanted to come in but not Norah. She was out there playing make-believe all by herself for another half hour.
Norah loved the pink sweater so much she kept it and wore it to school today. LOL
