We power washed the deck last night. It is warm enough to sit on the deck for his morning coffee and the news. It feels so good to be back out in the yard after 6 long months.

I am loving the warm sun streaming in the windows in the early morning. The windows are finally open and I can hear the kids playing. Spring is here!

The Seymour Smith original #119 Snap Cut. I gave them a workout today. Spent over five hours in the yard pruning trees and bushes. I lost them a few times because I put them down to collect all the clippings.  This amazing tool is older than me.... and that's pretty old!

We all know about the huge double whammy dump of snow in March!   We came  home with a narrow access to the garage thanks to our son and some neighbour boys and some shovels. Each day we go out and chip away at this huge pile of snow to widen our street access. But these last six inches of solid ice are crazy hard to chip away. The temps will be into the balmy teens on Thursday (60s and 70's for all my new friends from Texas) so here's hoping this mass of ice on the street in front of our driveway goes away this week! 

My back would really like me to stop!
