31/365 Blizzard

They said it was coming and boy did it come.

The winds are howling. A true blizzard.

I am thankful to stay put and not have to work or find shelter in this weather.

29/365 Garage Door Opener

Discovered one of the garage doors was open and we had a very cold garage.  And the door would not shut. Brrrr An hour of fiddling, taking apart, testing and downloading/reading manuals and I figured out the problem - a faulty opener on the wall.... a much cheaper fix than a new circuit board on the actual motor.

It looked like a $89 fix but a little googling and I find out it is under extended warranty d/t a recall/defect. A phone call to Arizona and a new opener is on the way. In the meantime, we have to cross two wires on the wall to get the door to open and repeat to close it. I can live with that.

So much better than David's solution..... "call someone will you?"  :)

He appreciates my cheapness!

26/365 Tonkatsu

I love this sauce traditionally made for breaded pork but good on so much more.

I made a batch this morning.

The recipe can be found HERE but omits the 1 tsp allspice added in the video... add the allspice.
