Tiny bubbles
In the wine
Make me happy
Make me feel fine
But in this case club soda was the liquid of choice today ~ 2 cans of it.... because those tiny bubbles disappear before you get two flashes in just the right spots.
Fill a square glass dish with ice cubes. Place the sliced fruit in on one of the sides (supported by the ice cubes) and add club soda when you are ready to shoot. White backdrop with flash reflecting off it to give really white background. Second flash on the fruit (camera left). I used a diffuser for softer lighting on this flash. I used a macro lens. It took over 50 shots to get the lighting right and the bubbles - they kept dissolving so I had to stir them up and recompose. An hour for this one shot?
How'd you do it?

ReplyDeletealso post - increased clarity and vibrancy in Lightroom 3. I also had to remove some very light ice cube shadows
