But this cup caught my eye.

A new favourite tea!
Actually a different take on my favourite tea - rooibus. The African Solstice is South African rooibus with wild berries, rose petals and vanilla beans.

It is a delectable tea in rather interesting packaging. :)

And an expensive tea as well, but I am savouring every drop.

#29 of 365 Winter Bubbles

Minus 16C, no wind, home just before sunset = another attempt at frozen bubbles.
Still not what I am trying for but pretty none the less.
Taken in the front yard.

Thinking it is time to play with the bubble formula. I need a very strong bubble that will not disintegrate when frozen but will break apart in chunks on impact so I can photograph the unique edges.
If you have any recipes my dear followers, please, do let me know.

#25 of 365 Bubble #2

Still not cold enough for the frozen bubble shots I am trying for but it is dipping to minus 30's tonight. Perhaps tomorrows sunrise will provide nice lighting on a semi frozen bubble?

I did take a bubble shot today and I will post it because if I don't you will get another food shot - we made lazy holopchi tonight. :)

Very little editing - crop and a vignette and a little sharpening - on the RAW photo. This is the colour as photographed. Bubbles are pretty colourful!

#24 of 365 Supper

Tried to get the frozen bubble again today but it was too warm!! Do you believe it? Minus 26 to plus 4 in 36 hours - Crazy weather we have been having.

Since that didn't work as well as I had planned, I took a photo of supper before we dug in. Oranges, avocados, cilantro and steak made this one fabulous salad.

I didn't get home from work in time to try the frozen bubbles again - it was dark out when I left work :(
Winter!!

So you get the new tap in the guest bathroom. :)

Tomorrow may give me some more opportunities to play with bubbles…. and freeze my fingers off.

#22 of 365 Icy Bubbles

Worked on this ideas until my fingers froze and then gave up.
I am trying to photograph frozen bubbles. They are cool but the moment they freeze they shatter into tiny pieces of ice. My plan it to capture one landing without shattering and then photograph it. Although just getting this moving target in focus was challenge enough…..
But I am thinking minus 26 is too cold.
