75/365 Pork Tenderloin and friends

We had a gang (read starving University students) for supper tonight and Mark BBQed a fabulous pork tenderloin roast I had marinated in garlic and wine all day - it was quite good!
And I am pleased with the table shot too since people get mighty impatient waiting for me to take a photo when all this food is in front of them. So I only got two tries before the grumbling started. Shot this on the 12 sec delay timer so I could get in it! I did after all spend the day in the kitchen making all the food!!
Had an EDO today and loved every second of it! Now I don't want to go to work tomorrow - REALLY!!

But I also wanted to post this very cool shot from this afternoon. I was out running errands and saw this big tower, the blue sky and the sun and it just called out to me for a wide angle lens with a polarizing filter (which I had in the car after dragging it all around with me on my errands - after all I knew you would all be looking for today's photo...right?...right?).
I just love the funky light glare I got. Very space age.....

Earth to Mars, Earth to Mars, the ship has arrived.....

74/365 Pendant

You know, some nights this 365 thing gets a little tedious....
I was going to call it a night (since I woke up at 5am this morning) when dear, thoughtful husband asked me (on my way to bed)..."Have you got your shot for the day?"
"Oh dang, no!" Off to the den to pick up the camera with macro lens on.
"What am I going to shoot?" I ask wandering the house.
"How about your new necklace?"
"Hmm" I turn my camera around, flash up, aim it at my chest.
He laughs. "Why don't you hang it on something?"
"This is easier....and more creative don't ya think?"
He laughs again.....with me, not at me.
two shots and....
"Well, what do ya know? Thank you dear!"

Two takes - 8 min and she's done.
NOW, I am going to bed.

73/365 African Fog

There appears to be a definitive theme of beverages here.... not my intention - purely incidental!

The African Fog! THIS is the newest hot beverage in town and is available ONLY at Intermission House on Central Ave in Saskatoon. Yes, it is SO new that it was actually just invented this morning... kinda.

I have been sick for the past few days with awful nauseating dizzy spells the result of taking in a smidgen too much caffeine in my morning decafs and the odd Halloween leftover at the office. I am paying big time for this minor indulgence. So I asked Rob at Intermission House to help me out with something healthy - thus the African Fog - and it is not only warm and deliscious, it is down right good for you! AND full of antioxidants to rid your body of all those ugly chemicals in junk food.

The secret? Steamed milk, vanilla bean flavour and the infamous African red tea Rooibos with some Lemongrass tea thrown in for good measure.  Mmmmmm wonderful.
I am feeling better already - well at least not worse. This may very well replace my morning decaf on the way to work.

72/365 Icy Coca-Cola

Now here's a unique and fun stocking stuffer for the coke aficionado in your house.
Available at Wally World - about $1.25 I think.

I have had the prime 50 mm macro lens on for the last two days - love it! Off camera flash for this one because the curves just called for it and I avoided big reflections.

70/365 My Soldier

Mark allowed me four shots as he ran out the door to the Remembrance Day Ceremonies at 8 am this morning. His Saskatoon squadron goes to Delisle each year to do their service for them ~ have been doing this for years.
Mark is home for a visit and it is so good to have him home for a week, this live on the edge son of mine. Serving his country, serving his community fighting fires and being a paramedic in Thompson Manitoba and serving his Lord - he loves to do it all.
So here is my photo of the day! Photo number 70!!

Have you crossed the suspended walkway under the Circle Drive Bridge?

67/365 Club bouquet

Out of the trunk and sitting in the corner of the garage - replaced by the winter tires. Tis their fate until we move to a warmer climate.

66/365 My Space

It took 6 hours of organizing but I can now see my desk and I know where everything is. Feels wonderful!
