This beautiful young deer came up to my window to say hello today.

My orchid is completely open and booming in all its glory with nine blooms. It is on my desk where I can enjoy it. It is a reminder that these bitter temperatures will not last forever and spring will come. Before I know it the roses will be blooming outside my office window....if they survived the minus 40C temps this week.

They have been here since Thursday and had zero screen time - no TV, no iPad, no Mario Brothers stuff......mostly because we have been so busy with other more fun stuff. But this afternoon Grandma allowed them an hour.
It was amazingly quiet around here. I understand how parents give into all these devices.
