118/365 Christmas 2.0
Our 2021 Christmas was cancelled d/t covid. But FINALLY after over 4 years we are, Lord willing, all getting together this weekend for Christmas 2.0. I am very much looking forward to having my favourite people all under one roof! There won't be any palm trees or a pool, but there will be lots of good food, plenty of fun and lots of love. So very thankful.

117/365 "Call a Plumber"
A leaky toilet can cost you hundreds of dollars a month. It can be easy to miss too. The last time this happened, the toilet down the basement had a slow leak. That leak cost us over $400. It was the bill that sent me looking for the leak!
This time it was our en suite toilet but it was intermittent and by taking off the lid and adjusting a seal I could "fix" it. But getting up in the middle of the night twice to adjust a seal one night became rather inconvenient so the next morning I did a google search, watched a video, ordered a $6 part from Amazon and two days later installed the new yellow seal in under a minute. Done!
Listen to your toilet.... it could save you a lot of money!

109/365 Hungarian Mushroom Soup
This soup.....it is so delicious. It is rich and full of flavour and texture. With a piece of fresh multigrain bread...well I could eat this for the next week. Yes, worth using Hungarian paprika and I found it at the local bulk barn. I used 1% instead of whole milk. The recipe is here

It is indeed a Good Friday as we gather to remember what Christ has done for us. We also witnessed Eva's profession of faith in the Lord as her Savior.

95/365 Chef Isla
Chef Isla made supper last night - meatball pizza subs....Everyone loved them... except Isla who preferred a large bowl of peas and bread and butter with mustard.... I know.....she opted for cooked broccoli instead of strawberries in her lunch today..... to go with her mustard and turkey sandwich!

94/365 New Wheels
Isla got to try out the electric wheelchair again at therapies this morning. I love that Art, our therapist, exchanged the steering stick with a golf ball - so much easier and way more cool!

92/365 Mule Deer
We have been seeing more deer in the swale these past weeks. We also saw a coyote slinking around today but the deer seemed to know he was there and kept an eye on him.

91/365 Shrimp Pasta
One of those super easy, super fast and super delicious meals. As long as there is shrimp in the freezer you can likely make this tonight.
