These munchkins showed up at our door. Last year they were the only ones that came. This year 25 more kids came. The neighbourhood is growing.

302/354 Isla's Pacer Arrived
This is a special day and Isla is not the only one who is excited. Grandma is too!! We have been waiting over two months and her special Pacer walker to arrive. Now she can be upright and "mobile" like a two yr old. Praying those legs get working the way they need to. They have really good staff at MediChair.

297/365 Norah Time
Piano lessons today so that means Grandma - Norah time while we wait. Last week I was a prince charming rescuing the princess. This week I was a wicked witch casting a spell and holding the princess captive.... until the prince came to break the spell and rescue the princess. The imagination of a 6 year old is a wonderful thing.

296/365 Lava Lamp
Eva had us going on an after school project from her "100 Things to Do on a Rainy Day" book. Or on a sunny day too I suppose.
She found this project and, yes we had all the ingredients required...although it used up quite a bit of cooking oil... so we had some fun and learned a little science. We replaced antacid tablets with a piece of a bath bomb which worked, but I will pick up some antacid tablets and we will do it again.
And the girls were pretty thrilled.

294/365 Anthurium
This beautiful plants sits beside my computer on my desk. I enjoy it every day. The grand girls gave it to me over 5 weeks ago when we arrived back from Victoria after Mom passed away - and it is still alive! it is next to the picture of Eva and "O" that Eva drew for me.
The directions say give plenty of non direct light and 7 ice cubes a week. So every Thursday morning it gets 7 ice cubes and every day lots of light.

293/365 Seeing Double
I seem to be photographing a lot of identical twins in the past month or so. What fun! Takes me about 30 minutes but I eventually start calling them by their right names. :)

290/365 More Norah Time
Eva had piano today so that meant play time with Norah. Thankfully the piano teaches has a mini play structure in her back yard. For 30 minutes I was Prince Charming to Sleeping beauty, Rapunzel and Aurora. There was a lot of kissing followed by a discussion about who you let kiss you.....
And Grandma just might be too old to climb play structure and rescue princesses.

287/365 Norah Time
On Wednesdays I pick up the girls from school and take Eva to piano lessons. Norah and I get to hang out for half an hour and I love this special time with her. First thing she asks me when we get in the car at school is "Did you bring snacks Grandma?"
Of course I did!

285/365 RAIN
The rain hasn't stopped all day so no walk today and no garden work. Instead 12 hrs on the computer taking a photography course.
I suppose we should be thankful it isn't snow.

282/365 Reader
So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray,
Go throw your TV set away.
And in its place you can install,
A lovely bookshelf on the wall."

Someone has discovered reading and I couldn't be more thrilled

281/365 Meile Malady
My fancy Meile dishwasher is broken. The error code indicates some major electrical problem - replace the motor stuff. It's been a while since we washed and dried glasses, plates and cutlery together .... but it was kind of fun. I dried.

280/365 Giving Thanks
It was a small gang for Thanksgiving celebrations this year but still lots of good food and fellowship along with an afternoon of card games. We have so very much to be thankful for. God continues to bless us beyond measure.

278/365 The Beautiful South Saskatchewan River.
I love fall. I just wish it was a tad warmer so we could all enjoy it a bit more. I took this photo from the banks just at the new Chief Mistawasis Bridge.

277/365 Yorkshire Puddings
Saw a Jamie Oliver video this am re Yorkshire puddings and had a craving. They are great with horseradish laced sour cream and smoked salmon. Then when you are full of that you can slather them with strawberry jam.
As seen through the oven window..... Because you cannot open the oven when they are cooking.
