Every Tuesday I come home from work and two large bags of fresh produce are on my front steps. They will keep coming until October. So glad I signed up for this treat.

207/365 Outback Lily
Well, finally Norah's lily has bloomed. She was ecstatic when she saw it. It is called Outback. There will be three blooms soon if those nasty lily leaf beetles don't eat them up. This is the first year I have had them in the garden and they completely destroyed my tiger lilies. it is a daily job to keep them off her outback.

206/365 Innocence
The goose had been listening to this conversation and chuckling to herself. "There are a lot of things Wilbur doesn't know about life," she thought. "He's really a very innocent little pig. He doesn't even know what's going to happen to him around Christmastime..."
Grandma: "What do you think is going to happen to Wilbur around Christmas time?"
Eva: "He will get snow on him?"
Grandma: Nope, they are planning on eating him!
Buckling Eva into the van later....
Grandma: "Tell your Mom what is going to happen to Wilbur at Christmas, Eva"
Eva: "He's going to be a TURKEY!!"
This Grandma gig is the best!

202/365 Thanks!
A co-worker gave me this gorgeous rose today after we worked thru a difficult case. So blessed to work with such wonderful people. And reminded that showing appreciation is so important especially in the work place. It makes everyone's day special!

199/365 Back Yard
Fourteen for lunch today. It is why we have a back yard and we are so thankful to be able to share His abundance to us with others.
I was thinking of getting a photo of the whole gang but I got kinda busy. :)

197/365 The Other Side
I went on a long bike ride today and stopped to photograph this tunnel when a young man came flying by on his bike to complete the shot.
Then I played with some textures in photoshop.
It is much better if you click on it and see it in black.
Then go ahead and tell me what you think.

195/365 Hosta
We had such an early, warm spring that the Hostas came extra early and they are glorious this year. I have 14 of them in the back yard and almost all of them are blooming. I am enjoying my evening walkabouts after a long day of work.

193/365 Gutter
Well didn't the skies open up today and fill the earth with water. I could hear the water pouring over the eaves troughs as I was working in my office, so I donned my raincoat and some rubber gloves, climbed up the step ladder and starting removing the twigs from the down spout. The water came gushing out and the problem was solved in no time!
Then I grabbed my camera because this was a really cool shot. My camera and I returned to my desk a little wet - but worth it. A hot cup o tea followed.

191/365 Happy Girls
We stopped in for a visit today. These little girls are enjoying their bright new home immensely.
I also think they are probably the most photographed girls in the world.
Do you think so?

186/365 Roslily Fabiola
This spring I purchased two beautiful lily bulbs from Dutch Growers - one for each of the girls. We planted them in pots and then eventually transplanted them outside. They have been watching them grow since early May.
This weekend Eva's Roslily Fabiola bloomed.
Norah's is a bright yellow and should be blooming in a few weeks.

185/365 Good Morning
We had breakfast (cinnamon buns and scrambled eggs) on the deck - wasn't that wonderful - and then picked a bouquet of fresh flowers for mom.

183/365 Tree Swallow
Spent Canada Day visiting with a friend just outside the city. Kind of fun to listen to the multitude of birds in the country, smell that fresh air, roast some hotdogs over the fire and chat about our favourite theologians. This Tree Swallow was just one of the many beautiful birds to be seen in the country.
This back ground is straight out of camera - no photoshop. That is the trees behind the bird. F4.0
