Newborn Session. As difficult as I find these to do (babies are on their own schedule), I love finding tender moments that really portray the beauty of motherhood.

Attended the Celebration of Life Awards and Ceremony in Winnipeg yesterday to watch our son along with other paramedics, receive recognition for his part in a critical incident in Winnipeg almost a year ago. Mark was first paramedic/firefighter on the scene.

Man, it has been a busy weekend! I have been carrying my camera a lot - family shoots and then in studio newborn today. So before taking the studio down tonight the girls did a little posing for me. About 100 shots and about 90 of them are priceless. Those girls have the moves. But I will post this one of the two of them tonight.

I love it when they emerge from the basement after spending time in Grandma's "tickle trunk" and they are deep in imaginative play. She was on an adventure that included some serious travels and played in the back yard for over an hour dressed like this - mostly hide n seek with Uncle Harold and her sister. They played until sunset - this is what summer is all about.

Friday night and Grandpa suggested we go out for supper so we went to Montana's.
It didn't last too long with two little girls with colds who needed to get to bed.
But it was a nice break and we played a few rounds of hangman before they petered out.

That and I spent four hours planting my garden today.

The girls are a couple of budding entrepreneurs. They had three customers and sold 4 glasses of lemonade and somehow didn't have any leftover.
They were quite pleased to walk away with $1.25 in their pockets.

My artists were busy creating today. I love watching them concentrate as they work on their masterpieces. We were painting these canvases to possibly hang above their new beds in the new house. It was  busy day. We worked on reading and rhyming skills, painted, baked cupcakes with Uncle Harold, danced while Grandma played the only song she still knows how to play on the piano and played two rounds of "Life". Norah won both! Again!

Went for a long walk this morning through Beacon Hill Park and another long walk down to the harbor this afternoon. So many gorgeous flowers are blooming right now. Amother beautiful day in Victoria. Heading home early tomorrow.

Wonderful three hours at Butchart Gardens today with David and my Mom.
Just spectacular. If I lived here I would buy a seasons pass and visit every month. Then lunch at Spinnakers - seat on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Afternoon snooze.
Perfect day!
