30/365 Miss Eva

Beautiful Miss Eva and her sister came for a visit today.
This one needs to be printed. 

29/365 Canon 24-70 L series F 2.8 lens

Spent the day doing the business part of my photography business. I am a creative not a spreadsheet analyser but it is done - phew!! Now I hand it to my husband so he can calculate how much tax I owe. :( 
 Also took stock of all equipment for insurance purposes. 
So I am thinking it is time to upgrade this lens. Because the newer, more improved and much more expensive version is out. :)

Did not pick up the camera today (other then to put it on the shelf and clean the office) but I did play in Photoshop.
Oh how I wish the four grandgirls lived closer. You would be inundated with photos of little girls.... oh wait, you are ready are.  

27/365 My new Haircut

I am kind of missing the long hair I loved to put up in a bun on top of her head. And besides, it makes her look so grown up.
But she is still adorable and she loves her new hair.

Cremini mushrooms fried up in sundried tomato, Parmesan and garlic infused olive oil.
Went great with the fresh wild Canadian Pickerel seared in lemon butter tonight.

24/365 Repunzel is Forty Two!

Barbies and playdoh are a perfect combo for an hour of imaginative play.
Apparently Rapunzel barbie is one good lookin' 42 year old.

When the girls are here and sitting round the kitchen table doing crafts, it is the perfect time to play with my 85mm 1.2 lens at f1.2.

22/365 Sleepovers

Our two little princesses are here for a sleepover.
The fun has begun. They are down the basement building a lego ship with Grandpa while Grandma gets her 365 posted. Then is it bath, cereal, reading, prayers and bed. We are a little tired. Flight didn't get in until 1am last night - but they are keeping us going here.
Okay - it is bath time...

ps - can't really tell in this photo but Norah had her long, long hair cut to her shoulders today. It's adorable but she looks so grown up now. :(

Whirlwind trip out to Victoria this week to celebrate Mom's 90th birthday.
It was a great time and I still don't believe this beautiful woman is 90 years old.

I love that the piano plays a significant role in the homes of all my children.  So far, all four grand girls love to sit at the piano and try to play a tune.  My daughter and both my daughters-in-law are all exceptional piano players so I expect to be sitting through a lot of piano recitals.  Feeling so blessed.

I picked up some flavored olive oil this week. I have quite the collection but we use them every day. Last count I had 12 balsamic vinegar. Needed some oil to balance it out. :)

My little boy turned 30 today.

We spent a few hours at the Turtle Farm holding turtle, having a blast on the water slide and checking out the sharks among other things. I took a ton of photos - I just have to wade through them all. :)

When it is 35C with a humidex of what feels like 130C you do what you have to do. I almost joined her but the other people at the restaurant might not have found it quite as cute.

I had a hard time leaving the water today - it was so incredibly warm and relaxing.

We spent the morning at the beach, the afternoon on a walk about town and then had fresh Mahi Mahi with pineapple chutney for supper. It has been a wonderful hot day!
