The sun has been trying all day to burn through all this smoke from forest fires up north but just can't quite do it.

180/365 Smoke

Smoke from Forest fires from way up north is finding it's way into the city and giving the world a rather eerie feel and very unpleasant air. We are keeping the house well closed up.
Could use a good windy rain storm right about now.

179/365 Blueberry Milkshake

The far away grand girls were drinking chocolate milkshakes when we shared some "face time" with them today. So I made a blueberry version as soon as I was off the computer. Perfect on a very hot day.

It's been a busy weekend of photographing graduates. I really enjoyed meeting this fine young man and his family. Fabulous suit Mason. I think I see a future that involves spreadsheets. :)

I am just loving all these beautiful young ladies and very happy that the weather is cooperating this year. Isn't she beautiful? Desiree is a lovely girl and I enjoyed getting to know her and her family.

176/365 Through the Reflection

I had fun finding Eva in the evening sun reflection on the car window. I used my shadow to bring her out.  She is wearing her Dad's sun glasses and sitting in the drivers seat; feeling kind of grown up.

Anyways, she came for supper tonight and brought her family including another princess....or was that a queen.
Actually now that I think if it I think she is Cinderella.

Look whats growing in my back yard. And it says it will get red and hot! Maybe I will even get two of them.

One of my herb pots is nice and full of cilantro. I use cilantro all the time - soups, salsa's, salads.

Today we made Dulce de Leche Cheesecake Parfait. The Food Charlatan sent me a link in the mail this morning - an hour before I went grocery shopping. How was that for perfect timing.
It was deeeeliscious!

I love photographing graduates. It is such a special time in their lives. This is beautiful Paige. She was not used to being the centre of attention in front of a camera but we captured some delicate, lovely moments that are very fitting for her sweet personality.

We have had special guests this weekend and boy did we juice and dine them. It was steak, baked potatoes grilled asparagus, broccoli and carrots for lunch today - and fruitopia over ice.

Norah has always been our climber and today was no different. Here she is at the top of the rope climbing structure at the forestry farm on a very sunny afternoon.

154 Eva's Pencils

She loves using my electric pencil sharpener so every time she visits she sharpens a few. I think she will have them all done with tomorrows visit.
They are in Grandma's special pencil holder made by Uncle Paul in kindergarten 25 years ago.
