Meet Dominik. The sweetest little one year old in the world. We had such fun today preserving his one year old cuteness.

Can you believe we are already 50 days into 2015? Allison reminded me that the year 2015 was the year Marty went to in "Back to the Future"!

Today we decided to forgo the "baking with Grandma" trend since my house is rather clean at the moment and I would like to keep it that way for another 24 hours. Instead we loaded the girls into the car and headed to Toys R Us to do a little birthday shopping for someone who will be turning three very shortly. Minnie Mouse birthday shopping! But we were a tad distracted by the new car section.
And no, she is not getting a cadillac. :)

We had a nice lunch together too and even braved taking the girls into Urban Barn.... I shouldn't go in there. Fortunately I am in bathroom reno mode so not much applied, although I am getting ideas for the living room. Yup! I shouldn't go in there.

49/365 The Happy Couple

I didn't pick up the camera today because, well, I got a late start and then spent the rest of the day tiling two more bathrooms - love them! My poor hands. :(

So I am posting another photo from Mark & Pam's engagement shoot on Sunday. It was such a perfect day for an outside photo shoot with these two love birds.  Well, except that I had lunch guests and supper guests that day - but hey it all worked out just fine because my sweetheart knows how to wash the china and silverware and he also knows how to put casseroles in the oven. He's a keeper. :)

48/365 Updating This Old House

Bit by bit we are getting the house updated. Nothing designer magazine worthy but new, clean, pleasing to the eye and functional. There are three bathrooms to do and, well, man they are expensive! So we are doing them piecemeal. We started with new countertops and sinks along with new fixtures for each of the bathrooms. We have new white toilets in two of them so far. Flooring will happen after the tubs in two of them are replaced because that is THE big job.

I learned to tile this past weekend. It was the perfect little project to start with. Let's hope the other two sinks turn out as well.

I have great hopes that one day Miss Eva will be a beautiful pianist like her Mama. She plays the ivories so gently. And refuses to let me touch the piano when she is working on her masterpiece!!

I picked the girls up for "Thursday with Grandma" and as soon as they were in the door Norah ran for her apron and Eva announced we were making "cupcakes for Community Group tonight".

So, we did!
And after the girls ate four of them we packed  up the rest and sent them home.

Busy day.
