102/365 The New Kitchen

I am having a fun time outfitting a new kitchen in the basement over the past three days. I cleaned out the storage room, pulled all the old toys, rearranged and bought THE cutest kitchen set from a facebook friend! Then off to Walmart for accessories.

I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they come over. I will have all four girls here in May and I simply can't wait. Grandpa is pretty excited too!

The dressup clothes are all organized - dresses, hats, shoes, purses and accessories too.
The craft center is ready too - but it will require lots of supervision.

And my back is KILLING me!

 I am in love.....

Had to venture down Broadway to pick up shoes today and happened to come upon the oliv tasting room..... I tasted and I bought.
Olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Who knew they could be used in so many wonderful ways. I just downed a huge glass of water with a touch of raspberry balsamic vinigar and it was wonderfully refreshing. I may be eating way too much bread though. :)
They look nice on my counter too.

From Oliv I went on to Walmart and went hog wild having the time of my life outfitting a new kitchen.
A play kitchen that is - stay tuned. :)

It was an expensive day. :(

I am spring cleaning. That means the bedroom closet of the 30 year old that has not lived at home for 10 years and has not heeded numerous warnings to go through his "stuff", is officially fair game for me.
He is a "collector" ... and not yet old enough to call a hoarder. :)
There was a lot of "stuff" to go through today and I barely made a dent.
I am not finished!

But some of his "collections" bring back memories, amusement and reminders of this son's creative side.

He collected the plastic spoons his cheap mother tried to put thru the dishwasher. I found them, to my amazement, all neatly collected in a paper bag. There are some very creative and artistic pieces here.

So I photographed them


And to think at some point each of them were headed for the garbage except that they were rescued by my son.


But aren't they so very cool?
