Glad to have the sun back but still covered in snow and absolutely no sign of anything poking through or considering new life.

Meanwhile we dodge the pot holes.....

89/365 Just like Anna

The girls were here for a sleepover last night. After her bath as I was brushing out her hair Eva asked if she could have two braids just like Anna (pronounced Aunna) from Frozen.

She is looking at the clock on the wall in my office that has a very loud second hand.
She asked me why my clock made that sound.
I told her the second hand was counting the seconds, but in my head I was thinking, "because Grandma is cheap and got it for $9.99 at Walmart"

We watched Frozen today. :)
I knew Hans was a fake right from the beginning even if he could sing!!

Took the girls out for lunch today.
Norah was ....well, let's just say I am not taking her out for lunch any time soon!
Eva was an absolute angel. I love 3 yr olds.

Is it okay to like wine as much as I do?
I could photographic it every day too. I just love an elegant wine glass with a nice dry Pinot Grigio in it. It is a beautiful sight.

I love that Eva tries to draw within  the lines now.
She also told me this morning that she was putting two different colours together - mixing them.
Now that's creativity.
Love it! 

We took the whole gang out for breakfast this morning. Lots of fun.
Then took the girl home for the day. Thankful to have Pam and Mark there to help play with them.

Is this not the most wonderful mail to receive?

Why, it was only a few years ago my children were mailing very similar cards to their Grandparents.
I feel so special and so old, all at once. :)

The back page says "from Tanis" and it is covered in bugs too. :)

The gutters are running clear and the snow is melting off the roof.
The sun was up when I left for work at 7:30 am, which is a sure sign that winter is leaving us.

However it is still March and March is notorious for winter blizzards right when you think you are through the worst of winter. So the shovels will stay in the garage and the bikes will stay down the basement for several more weeks.

75/365 Another Birthday

I turned 57 today.....

I don't feel it
...usually :)


My sweetheart took me out for lunch after church this am to Prarie Ink. Had a wonderful lunch.  Came home and played with Phoenix photos all afternoon.
A perfect day.

It took a few tries, but my sweetheart finally got a decent photo of me. I prefer to be the one with the camera but I figured on my birthday I would humour y'all :)

73/376 Travel Day

They really are pretty good travelers...... especially considering that WestJet kept us waiting 90 minutes just to check in, which meant a mad dash thru security and to the gate to board. We were at the airport over 2 hrs ahead of departure.

This is the first time WestJet has irked me....... they shouldn't plan three full flights to take off within 60 minutes of each other. And, my goodness - put all your check in agents on if you are!

Thank goodness for iPads and electronic kids games.

Good to be home.

72/365 Cover Story

This just might be the cover photo for the vacation book I will make for the girls. We had fun in the pool one last time today and are heading home first thing tomorrow morning.  But first, an evening with special friends here in Phoenix.

It has been a crazy, busy, active, fun holiday and Grandma and Grandpa have slept very well. We have also gained a few pounds.

Wish I could have this much energy after 5 hours of travel - 50 minutes of which was navigating the Phoenix airport, luggage pickup, and shuttle to rental car. It was a bit of a fiasco but we made it, settle the girls in front of the tv with mom and headed grocery shopping at 10 pm.

So here is Eva happy to see some fruit. It was dark in the kitchen - iso 1000. And I forgot my mouse so all editing in post is done with one finger. :(  on a laptop!

And there is no snow!!

I am officially on vacation for one week.... although I still see snow out there and my husband is working late!
Again!!

There should be a beach in the background, some ocean and maybe a palm tree!!

Okay it is all coming back to me......why I quit doing 365....it turned into a daily chore. it took me 62 days fr that feeling to come back.

Give me one good reason I should post a photo tomorrow.

The up side is posting these photos forces me to remember how to use textures in Photoshop. And at my age I don't seem to remember much. Seriously considering signing up for Luminosity.

I also found it very difficult to find a decent avocado.... had to edit out a lot of brown marks on this one. 

Alright, it is 7 pm, I worked all day and I think the chicken is ready to come out of the oven so time to feed us.
