182 of 365 Back Yard BBQ

I am officially half way through this years 365... except officially it is a 366 year. :)
While we don't have a back yard yet, we do have a deck so the Saturday night 'Bible Study' gang came for a BBQ tonight. Heather and Leah arrived for dessert so I missed them in the photo. I guess I should have waited but didn't think when I took the photo. It was a fun evening - they stayed past 11pm! Never got to Romans 10 but talked about a lot of other things. :) We sure enjoyed a nice hot summer evening which has been a rarity in our neck of the woods.

Well look what happened while I was at work today. The landscape guys finally showed up to start the back yard. It was supposed to be done 3 weeks ago but the rain has kept them away. It has been frustrating to say the least since we have been in deconstruction mode for several months now.
Stay tuned and I will try to record the progress.

Today I had the privilege of meeting this fine young man and his family. Kyle graduated today and will head south to pitch college baseball in the US. Way to go Kyle!!

Today we went to the water park. Eva was much more cautious with water coming out of fountains then she was with water raging down the South Saskatchewan river.

Well what are four girls to do on yet another rainy day? Bundle everyone up along with all their paraphernalia (which is no small feat) and head to the mall. And underground parking? - heaven sent when it is raining and you have a giant stroller to get in and out of the car.

So here is Eva as we left the house to go to the mall.

If I had been thinking I would have brought the camera out when we let Eva out of the stroller in the change rooms..... she was quite a busy girl checking it out - especially those doors that don't go down to the ground. But I was trying on clothes and the 365 was the furthest thing from my mind.

Both our husbands are out of town so after a busy day Linda and I sit on the deck and enjoy a fresh salad, some appies, a fabulous warm evening, laughs and some wine. Life is good.
No word from Air Canada......
The cats are due back tomorrow night. :)

158 of 365 Victoria Street Bridge

Sigh, it's not an huge iceberg or a fishing boat in the harbour, a lighthouse or rolling streets filled with colourful homes; it's not Cape Spear or Signal Hill - all places on my planned tour today - no it is not St Johns, but the Saskatoon Victoria St bridge soon to be demolished because it is unsafe to walk on. Too bad - on both accounts. :)
I stopped by the bridge briefly today after dropping Allison and the girls off. I really resisted taking a photo of the girls. As cute as they are, I am going to try and resist all this week as I get over not being able to photograph St Johns. :)

It's a long story so see the Blog if interested.
Here is a very expensive glass of wine I had during a very long and expensive day in the Toronto airport. Not how you want to spend $ or 18 hours!
We are home and did not make it to St Johns thanks to fog and Air Canada.
it is soft (blurry) on purpose..... because that's just what it looked like after several hours in line ups with Air Canada.....we ordered food too. :)

Yup, emptying cards, charging batteries and choosing lenses. Nope not a wedding shoot. We are heading to St John's, Newfoundland for 6 days and I hope to get some great photos. The forecast is for rain - lots of it -  and balmy highs of 8C. So I have dug out all the winter clothes too!
Boring finance lectures for David and a ton of walking and photos for me. :)
Plus pretty good food!

Picked up a few shifts with the Health Region this week and David came home late last night. So we snuck in lunch at the Ivy. It's been a while since we have done this - like 6 months? This whole commute to Yorkton for a week at a time means a lot less 'us' time. So I enjoyed today. And I am thankful to have him home a day early.
