Seriously, every meal should start here.

My stats tell me I average over 30 lurkers a day. ;)
Good thing I have stats. And I love my camera.

242 of 365 Tomoto

242 days of taking a photo a day. Haven't missed one!
Which makes me wonder.... am I a little.... obsessed?
I have this habit of setting high expectations of myself and having too much pride to not meet them = exhaustion.

However this is not the case with my garden. I have no expectations and still I have about 20 beautiful big tomatoes.

I just can't tell you all the things I did NOT accomplish today.

240 of 365 Saskatchewan Legislative Building

I have lived in this provice almost 12 years yet I have never seen the Legislative buildings in our provincial capitol of Regina. I have driven around Regina about 24 times (usually on my way to Winnipeg). But never through.
Until this morning, very early and so I finally took a photo of our Legislative building.

238 of 365 Lilac

I have a miniature lilac bush I planted in the front garden last year and it blooms several times a year.
Now, there are only a few blooms and they are tiny, but I am enjoying them.

237 of 365 Steak

My apologies to all you vegetarians out there but my sweetheart knows I need a good serving of iron when I get exhausted so when I suggested cereal for supper tonight, this is what he picked up on the way home.
I love this guy!

236 of 365 An Ants Perspective

When was the last time you lay in the grass? Just lay there and looked up at everything.
I am always reading photography articles that tell us to get a different perspective- get down low and shoot up or use a footstool and shoot down (this one is very flattering ladies) So tonight I donned the wide angle lens, went out to the back yard in my skirt and blouse (the professional job) and lay on the grass.
It was cool and comfortable. The grass smelled.... like my childhood.

It was wonderful.

So I took a wide angle picture of the house.

And I think I need to do this more often.

235 of 365 Me

It's pretty rare but I handed the camera across the table tonight. I figure one shot of me in 365 was allowable.

233 of 365 Beary Berry Honey

Delectable honey and glazes made by Beary Berry Honey. Finally picked up my recent shipment today and oh, my, is is all so wonderful.
About three months ago my brother brought us some Pineapple Citrus Honey Glaze from the farmers market in Edmonton. It took two months before I finally opened it. Should have opened sooner. It goes on everything and anything can be dipped in it  - seriously - anything. But my favorite is to slosh some on vanilla ice cream. As a matter of fact I am indulging in that right now.... hold on while I lick my fingers...

Okay. I'm back. I loved it so much that I ordered a whole bunch off their web site. It was all reasonably priced and delivered within 10 days. All their products are 100% natural with no artificial ingredients. I am so excited about this yummy delivery from a family operation from just outside of Edmonton.
Tonight we has steamed tuna steaks then crusted them with pecans and herbs, a quick fry to seal the crust and THEN a light glaze of Teriyaki  Honey Glaze. Oh..... delectable.

This afternoon I had a piece of multigrain toast with ginger infused honey. mmmmm
So tonight the 365 photo was a no brainer.

Do check them out here.
I can't make a recommendation because I love everything I have tried.
If you put in an order - tell them I sent you. :)

232 of 365 Real Toys

We went for a bike ride this am and I was able to get some cool photos of the new bridge. But you will have to check the other blog for those because Eva came over the rest of the day and, well she is a much cuter photo of the day.
So cute that I could not decide which photo to use of her so I did a digital scrapbook page.

When we picked Eva up we made sure to bring all her favorite toys to occupy her - but they didn't seem to do the job. What she really enjoyed were all the little cans of tuna and oysters from the cupboard. Add a few boxes of chocolate pudding and pasta (that have been collecting dust in there) and a grandpa willing to build towers and she had a fine time.

Okay I will get to those bridge photos.

231 of 365 Canadian Pacific

Why is it that the Canadian Pacific always seems to send a loooong sloooooow train smack dab through the center of town during the rush half-hour?

And on a Friday!!

230 of 365 Heliopsis

From the garden.
I have noticed when I am plumb worn out, the 365 becomes either food or a flower. :)
Tonight you get a flower.
It's been one of those weeks. Going to sleep in on Saturday morning.

228 Toast

That is ginger marmalade btw.
I am actually liking the photo. :)

227 of 365 Tomatoes

Ah August - the fruits of my labor begin to show promise. Not that I labored much out there. No time. But I did plunk it in the ground and it survived my husbands first weeding expedition. Since then I have kept the weeds at bay within 12 inches of it. So it may just be that we get to eat a tomato from the garden this August.

226 of 365 Crab Apples

They are small, very sour and way up in the tree where I can't reach them.... except the ones all bruised up on the ground. Seems such a waste to just watch then fall and rot.

Ah if I only had a few hours to collect them all and another few hours to turn them into crabapple jelly... like the old days when I didn't have two jobs. :)

It promises to be a perfect day and the beginning of a lifetime of love.

I was out there for maybe 3 minutes

217 of 365 Infrastructure

It amazes me the infrastructure required to build a road in our climate.
Now, I am standing on my office parking lot taking this photo and something tells me that big drainage pipe down there isn't going to take a 90 degree turn any time soon.

216 of 365 TV Dinners

They've come a long way.....
Our weekday ritual when we both arrive in the door - when we don't have people coming over or have to be somewhere - is to whip up a nutritious supper and settle into the sofa to watch "Get Smart"

No energy to go looking for a unique photo.

215 of 365 Invisible People

Putting a face on homelessness....

On the street I saw a small girl cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became angry and said to God; “Why did you permit this? Why don’t you do something about it?” For a while God said nothing. That night he replied, quite suddenly:
“I certainly did something about it. I made you.”

I went to hear Mark Horvath tell his story of going from Media Executive to homeless and then crawl out of his addictions and homelessness to create change by using social media to put a face on homelessness. He is the founder of Invisible People. Please visit the web site.

214 of 365 Construction

Work on the new 25th street road continues. Those big drain pipes there can almost hold a small car. We were trying to talk one of the girls at work into testing it out  but she didn't go for it.

213 of 365. Experiencing lemon and crosses

I didn't think I would have a 365 shot today but now I have two and can't decide. Your thughts??
The cross on the new cathedral going up a few blocks away.
Warning - NEVER focus on the sun. I focused on the structure below then raised the lens to take the shot without looking at the sum. Very dangerous - NEVER focus on or near the sun.

I took the photo of the cross on a morning bike ride.
BUT then we went for supper to a new restaurant with Sammy, Allison and Eva and well.... we let Eva try a lemon for the first time.
The results?

I am still laughing and the best part is she kept wanting more!
I am finding it really hard to choose which should be the photo of the day, so what is your vote? Leave a comment. Let me know
