Another last ditch effort to get the shot before falling into bed.

208/365 LOVE
A stroke has left him unable to walk, talk or use his right hand, but his eyes tell his bride he loves her!
They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary three weeks ago and he celebrated his 88th birthday last Saturday - surrounded by loving family.
Today they allowed me to take their photo for a SHR work project (yup - I get to take photos as part of my work) and the family also allowed me to post this photo tonight.
I am thankful because this is just a perfect photo of the day for me.
And it is moments like this that make my work so rewarding.
His wife gave him that little pillow.

207/365 Bowling with 6 yr olds
My husband and I had the delight of helping a friend with her 6 yr old's birthday party at the bowling lanes. Since it has been many years since we have been at a birthday party with 6 yr olds, we thought this might be a hoot!
And it was!
The photo ops were incredible. I am still laughing!

I tell ya it was hard to pick just one photo.
They were just so darn cute!

205/365 White Lady
My husband met me at the door with this 'white lady' today after work.
And no it isn't skim milk.

Nice ending to a long week. I plan to be in bed very early.

204/365 Pineapple
Going to a Luau Sat evening. I know... it just doesn't jive with yesterdays photo.
I have less then 48 hrs to think of something to do with this.

203/365 My Birthday Cake
Heather brought cheese cake and we celebrated my birthday at Bible Study tonight.
Man I look tired - I need a holiday!
Technically I didn't take this photo - Mark did...and what a joy to have him with us at Bible study tonight.
So I am also adding this photo that I took at 7:30 am this morning.

202/365 Pepper Mill
I am getting desparate. I get home from work. I am tired and I am hungry. Have to get through supper and clean up and THEN - on to the 365 photos. Wish I had time to hunt down old abandoned buildings, but no, I have to use what is on hand...or in this case what is on the table.

201/365 Ticket to Ride
Just clarifying rules before starting a game of Ticket to Ride. We are very sticky on rules around here. Games are serious business in this household. Not that we re competitive, we just want to make sure we are all in agreement about the rules....cause some people like to make their own rules up. Not allowed!

200/365 RRRoll up the Rim
Today represents 200 days of taking a photo a day.
And here we are heading East and home. We bought a grand total of 11 Tims "Roll up the rim" hot drinks on this road trip and the last one - my med hot chocolate, finally won something.
We also had a family discussion on whether a Tims in Davidson, the halfway point between Saskatoon and Regina, would be profitable. We all agreed it would. However we decided it might be difficult to come up with the one million dollar franchise costs. And who wants to work 24/7 serving coffee.

199/365 Road Trip
Took a road trip to Edmonton with husband and son - had a grand time in the car. Attended my nieces wedding. Photos weren't allowed in the church - didn't take the DSLR to the reception - so today you get the shot from the back seat of the car. Appreciated the time with no 2 son.
Tomorrows shot might be similar...
except we will be facing East and not West.
Hoping there is time for an IKEA visit.

198/365 Purple high tops
Just couldn't resist buying these for my grand baby. She isn't walking yet, but one day they are going to look so funky on her!
I also bought some tiny red ones for our second grandchild who is still in the oven being perfected. I bought red because I am betting on a boy and he will look like his Dad. They will be his first basketball shoes.

197/365 Tim Holtz Film Strip Ribbon
If you are a scrapbooker you will drool over this.....
If you aren't, then just enjoy the cool contrast.
Be still my heart - now if only I had the time to actually use it.

196/365 Cookies
And not just ordinary cookies. My brother brought these all the way from Wpg - lovingly made by him and his "little" brother. He is a "big" brother to a special 11 yr old.
We had a nice visit this evening - the only shot I got was the cookies because I was too busy having fun. :) And that's the way it should be!

195/365 A special day
Woke up to this on the kitchen table this morning.
I have a very sweet son.

I love how it is wrapped.
I love his notes.
I especially love that this gift also included a hug... and almost a kiss.

194/365 The Demise of Intermission Coffee House
Today was a very sad day indeed. My husband and I have been regulars at Intermission Coffee House since it opened about 2 1/2 years ago. It is owned by young couple with three children trying to make a go of it. The coffee is excellent! The atmosphere is relaxing and we have met some very nice people there.
So I am sad, very sad, that my favorite coffee shop is closed. I am sad that even though Rob worked 11 hr a days, 6 days a week for the last 2 1/2 years, roasting the finest coffee I have had, he just couldn't make it.
Read my rant HERE
So here is my very last photo of Intermission Coffee House...

193/365 E S Marios
After about 20 hrs of redecorating in the basement this weekend, we had a little break today while picking up more stuff.
So today's photo is our 30 min rest at lunch today before diving back into - wallpapering. And it went very well. After 30 years you figure out how to actually make wallpapering together fun!

192/365 Cute Little House
Was out running errands today and saw this as we turned the corner. A little elbow grease and some TLC and it could be such a cute house even though it is on a busy street. I am sure it has some stories to tell.

191/365 hand lotion
Too lazy (or tired, it is Friday) to get up from my Mac and go get my 365 photo, so I grabbed the camera beside me with the 50 mm lens on and took a photo of my hand lotion. Used a very high ISO 1600 (high for Olympus) Then I played in Lightroom and Photoshop.

190/365 My Guitar Man
I love this man. And I could sit and listen to him play that guitar for hours. Love to sing with him. Just sit on the couch together and sing songs and sip wine. We were made for each other!

189/365 - the vase perspective
It is one of those nights when on the way to bed I remember the 365 shot! There was pizza in the oven because that is when sons who work odd shifts eat their supper, but I knew if I posted another food shot there might be a comment from the peanut gallery (AKA another son) about so many food shots. So this vase in the hall, which should have been put away a week ago, did the trick for me.
And NOW I am going to bed.

186/365 Canadian Olympian Trainees
Yup! My theory on why Canadians did so well at the winter Olympics. They start young because what else can you do when there is all this snow and ice for 5 months of the year?

184/365 Flowers from my sweetheart.
I took a photo today of a droplet of water just about to fall off an icicle - it was a great shot. Then my sweetheart arrived home from work with these - just because. Of course they became my shot of the day.

The best kept secret in Saskatoon and our favorite Sushi restaurant. Wonderful for a quick bite after work when we are both sick of eating salads all week!

182/365 Best Dentist
Wow - I am halfway through my 365 year in photos and haven't missed one - not even when I was sick and home recooping! Does that mean I am obsessed with this photography thing? maybe....
Today I had the pleasure of three hours at the dentists office. A cleaning and then three fillings. My teeth have been perfect for 40 years...it was the first decade of my life that I had bad habits. So today three of those old fillings were replaced with beautiful white ones. To think I am still paying today for laziness and treats so many years ago.
Now I say this was a pleasure, and really we all know a visit to the dentisit office is no pleasure, but I have to say Dr Piecowye is THE BEST dentist in the world. I never feel a thing -not a thing - not even the freezing! And he keeps me distracted in conversation the whole time - one sided though because of that 'dam' thing in my mouth. Today's topic was boats - why staying in Saskatchewan and spending $20,000 on a boat was a great use of the recreational budget....except when you have to rewire the trailor all the time. It was all quite interesting and after the work was done, he took the 'dam' thing off and I announced I preferred an all inclusive in Mexico to camping and boating. I guess I am not your typical Saskatchewan gal - but it was educational none-the-less. And I suppose I was a captive audience.... where was I going to go?
Now if they can make those drills a lot quieter I could possibly fall asleep when I visit Dr. P.
And he is such a nice guy, he even let me take his photo!

181/365 Morning Moon
This was a showstopper this morning. Almost caused my sweetheart to rear-end me as we both drove down the street to work. I stopped for the photo, he drove around me - with a smile. I still met up with him at the coffee shop for a decaf on the go - he paid. Boy, I have it good!!

180/365 It must be March
I could hear the water dripping off the roof eaves today as the mounds of snow up there starts to melt. I heard birds outside my office window yesterday. Music to my ears. It is March and these are hints that spring is trying to come. We may still get a March blizzard, but April is only 4 1/2 weeks away.
..of course we have been known to have a blizzard in April too.
But today I am enjoying a clear, dry driveway, wet sidewalks and the drip, drip, drip of melting snow.
