No we didn't study all these - stuck with the Gospel of John and finally finished chapter 10. What a feast!!
But these books were sitting on the coffee table so they became fodder for tonight's 365 obligation.

I always struggle to get a creative shot the day after a photo shoot. It seems after 300 shots the mojo just wanes a little. I have sat here at my computer for the past 7 hrs working on my engagement shoot and I realize that not only do I need to get to bed (so I can get up for the day job tomorrow) but I haven't taken my 365 shot of the day. So here it is just under the wire - a shot of my screen as I wait for photos to upload.

82 of 365 Epson Stylus R3000 Inject printer

This is my current printer.
And it is almost useless. It prints lots of stuff but it never gets colours right on photos.
Never! Even if the guy at London drugs thinks it does. He is wrong! Or he prints terrible photos.
It is a really cheap printer.
You get what you pay for.

So I need a new printer because I want to be able to print my customers photos on specialty paper... Like Hahnemuhle! 
oh so nice but WAY too expensive to print four times to get the colours right. I need it right the first try.

So! I am considering the Epson R3000. Just came out last week.
Kind of pricey.
Kind of nice.
I may have to move a lot of stuff off my desk to make it fit.
Kind of HUGE!

and I didn't have any candles so I stuck a big zero in the cake.
Brian said it was just fine - it represented the number of girlfriends he has.
And he told me it was okay to say that.....
... so I am ....just in case there is anyone interested out there.

Bible Study evening - Ice cream cake, John 10, Job, Ephesians, Romans. It's all good stuff. 

79 of 365 Super Moon

On March 19th, 2011 the moon passed by the Earth at a distance of 356,577 kilometers (221,567 miles) – the closest pass in 18 year. So at 1:30 am on March 20th I took this photo of this super sized moon. Unfortunately the sky over Saskatoon was super cloudy/foggy and not at all accommodating. So that meant super high ISO for the super moon. Which left it super grainy - even too grainy for Lightroom's nifty noise reduction tool.
But it is officially the super photo of the day.

An 8am hike this morning before packing up and making the trip home. Now sitting in Calgary airport with a 5 hr layover. Getting home at midnight - sigh.

I didn't take any photos today so when we arrived back from a very noisy evening at a Sports Bar (yes I went to a sports bar) watching basketball (what do I know about basketball).... I got a shot of some peace and quiet - the lights of the hotel, palm trees and an almost full moon.

Headed into the hills this morning and did some climbing with 20 pounds of camera gear. It was an almost 2 hr workout but good for me. I drank all my water - it is dry here.

We visited the old mining town of Gold Field today. It was hard to pick just one photo but this fellows blue eyes and kind smile caught me.

Believe it or not, I did not pick up my SLR until 7pm tonight and took all of 12 photos as we walked around the resort after a brief bite to eat.
So here you have the lobby of our hotel.
No flash and high ISO. Just capturing the evening mood of this busy but relaxed place.

Post photo shoot day - kind of loose the mojo for about 24 hrs - that's when another shot of water works - they always look different. Of course it takes about 30 shots to get the drip, light, dof and focus just right.
